Glam Closet: Make a fashion splash!

written by Jessica Farkas

‘Tis the season to find a swimsuit and for most girls it’s a dreaded time of the year. There is great news though… ANYONE can rock a swimsuit. No we don’t all have a body that we see in a magazine, but we all have bodies that we should deem as beautiful. So no matter who you are get ready to make a fashion splash with a swimsuit this summer.

Make sure though:

  1. It should fit you just right. Nothing is worse than having a swimsuit that is too small or too big. It should fit you snug around the hips, butt and chest. Every private part should be covered; and covered well.
  2. That YOU are comfortable. No you don’t have to be completely comfortable with your body but it is important to be comfortable in the swimsuit you are buying. Being comfortable with it could mean it fits you really great or you love the pattern that is on it.
  3. Know your body type and get a swim suit to match it.
  • If you small up top, get a swimsuit top with ruffles or embellishments. A halter top or suit1triangular type suit will look the best. They also sell swimsuits with padding. Like a padded bra they give you just a little help that you might need.
  • If you are full figured in the center try a cami top or a tankini. It will cover you up but you will still get to enjoy a two piece. They also are making one pieces with fun accessories like belts.
  • If you have a bit bigger of a booty, try getting a swimsuit with the bottoms as boy shorts or bottoms with rings in them. They will fit you better and make you feel more comfortable.
  • If you are bustier try a swimsuit top with underwire, a V-neck shape and thinker straps. The V-neck shape will be sure to hold those ladies up.

Whatever type of swimsuit you decide to get remember to have a good time wearing it this summer. It is the only time we really get to show off our curves. So, forget what other people think and love the sun, drinks, curves and clothes.

“O no she didn’t tip of the week!” : Yes, wearing a swimsuit shows off a lot more then we usually do in a public setting, but don’t make that an excuse to show to much off. This means make sure that all those private parts are covered and nothing slips out. Also, swimsuits are made for the pool or beach and not other public places. Find a cute cover up to match your cute swimsuit if you go anywhere else that day or pack a cute outfit in you beach bag.
