Three Minimalistic Blogs that Inspire me to Live Simply

Nourishing Minimalism by Rachel Jones:

Rachel Jones is a mother of six and recovering from her “messy” personality. Through her blog, she hopes to inspire individuals by transforming their home into a peaceful, tidy space as opposed to the cluttered space one is used to.

Rachel was clear in her “about me” page that the focus of the blog would remain on the home. However, she also incorporated decluttering in regards to papers in the home, what someone should do if they are feeling overwhelmed, and coping with anxiety and decluttering. Additionally, this blog seems more geared towards families and mothers, but some posts can be helpful to any young-adult who is looking to declutter their space.

Break the Twitch by Anthony Ongaro:

Anthony and his wife are based in North Minneapolis, where they discovered intentional living in 2013. This is where Anthony learned about minimalism and the art of living to be your best self.

Anthony’s blog is focused on minimalism and how everyone can delve into their own lives to think of ways they can simplify their routine and declutter. Additionally, I feel as though the intended audience is not centered on a specific age range. Anyone can practice minimalism, perfecting their morning routine and cutting out their social media habit.

Minimal Millennial by Emily Torres:

Emily Torres is based in Southern California. Through her posts, she discusses what millennials have been experiencing in this new generation. This includes: debt, cluttered homes, jobs, and how millennials differ from our Baby Boomer and Gen-X parents.

Torres’ writing is witty and engaging. Being a millennial, I found these posts to be relatable and something I would be interested in trying—whether it is how I get to class that day, or changing of a routine. Moreover, her use of images within her posts were intriguing to see based off the topic, and they are mostly of her space and where she lives.
