The Colorado CDC is investigating ten cases of muscle paralysis in children suffering from a respiratory virus. All of the children tested positive for Enterovirus-D68, a virus currently causing widespread respiratory issues in the United States.

Jesse L. Matthew, Jr., currently the main suspect in the disappearance of UVA student Hannah Graham, has been linked to a previous abduction and murder. Virginia State Police say that Matthew’s arrest provides “a new forensic link for state police investigators to pursue.” Parties with information on Hannah Graham’s whereabouts can find information on tip lines, last sightings, and safe reporting procedures at the Help Find Hannah Graham Facebook page.

Twelve Atlanta Public Schools educators and administrators accused of widespread cheating to inflate school district test scores went to trial Monday to face official racketeering charges. Prosecutors have already signed plea deals with 21 other defendants who were indicted a year ago along with the 12 on trial. Prosecutor Fani Willis in her opening statements told jurors “[students who needed additional instruction] were the biggest losers” in the scandal.

The University of New Mexico is celebrating its inaugural Sex Week. The week kicks off Monday and is designed to spread awareness of and information to help prevent sexual assault on campus. Event organizers have taken a new approach, teaching students proactive measures to have safer, better sex rather than restricting information to assault prevention. Reactions to this approach are varied, with community members and students alike voicing concerns and support in equal measure.
