Formula 1, for many the peak of motor sports. While for others strictly entertainment, however for those who have made their life and follow every team and race weekend as well as every stat and news from the sport. In the more recent race weekend in Italy, RedBull racecar driver Max Verstappen, the current world champion of this sport made incredible feats during the race weekend.
In the most recent race weekend, the Italian Grand Prix, on September 7th there have been two of the more talked about feats Max Verstappen has done, one of them is the fastest lap inside that circuit. However, the one that has made more noise within the sport is the time gap in between his first place finish to the second place finish. Before disclosing the time gap, we can clearly see that a formula 1 car can reach top speeds of 230 mph, which means that every millisecond counts and is the factor that could make or break a championship win. Now in this race, Max Verstappen finished nineteen (19) seconds ahead of everyone, which in translation can turn into almost half of a full circuit lap, having a comeback and complete domination over the race circuit.
With this information, and the actions of Max Verstappen during this race, he is trying to make a comeback to defend his world title. Now for him to maintain a fight for the title, he would have to get first place finishes in the rest of the race weekends coming up (total of 8), something that he was able to do in past seasons, with one of those seasons having winning 90 percent of the total races. However for Max Verstappen to win the world title, the McLaren team has to completely ruin their next races, this in order for Max Verstappen to win the championship by a total of a single point (if the calculations are correct). In this sport, a single second can come in between a winning season or coming second over the one driver who had everything stacked against him.
