Spring Time

By Mark Foley

I believe that Spring is the best season of the year.

Spring means that Winter has come and gone, and Summer is just around the corner.

The weather is always just right. It’s never too hot or too cold during the Spring despite some windy days.

Spring also symbolizes the beginning of new life as flowers bloom and trees start to grow big and green again.

In the Fall, you still see the amazing colors of trees, but those changing colors also mean the leaves will be falling off soon.

With springtime comes longer, sun-filled days and no more long, cold nights.

Even the birds love the springtime. They come out and chirp away—unlike those annoying birds we get on campus. I’m certain no one would mind if they never sang a tune again.

With the start of Spring comes the start of baseball season, and everyone loves America’s pastime. We all can’t forget about the chaos March Madness brings to this peaceful time of the year. The NBA and NHL playoffs also get underway.

Of course, we all look forward to the glorious week of Spring Break, a time that signifies the halfway point of the semester. Seniors will be walking to get their degrees soon, and freshmen soon will no longer be freshmen.

It’s Spring. No more staying inside looking for forms of entertainment. It’s now time to get up, get out, and enjoy the best time of the year.
