Bree Anna Lucero is a senior from Fort Sumner, N.M. She will be graduating this May with a degree in Criminal Justice.

Lucero also plays a big role for Eastern New Mexico University’s volleyball team as a middle blocker.

After graduation, she will be starting graduate school at ENMU next semester while playing her final season of volleyball.

Chase: What are some of your favorite hobbies?

Lucero: I love anything outdoors, as long as the weather holds up. I’m from a small town, so fishing, camping, traveling, pretty much anything active. I love it all. I can be a pretty spontaneous person. You have to be able to make your own fun.

Chase: What’s your favorite memory at ENMU?

Lucero: I have quite a few. Snow days, running around the neighborhoods in swimsuits, and volleyball trips. My freshmen year hands down is one of my best years here. Although Portales doesn’t have a lot to offer, it comes down to the people you meet and what you make of your time here. You meet your friends in high school and your best friends in college.

Chase: If you could go anywhere in the world for a week, where would you go, and what would you do there?

Lucero: Definitely Thailand. It looks like a beautiful vacation. I don’t think I could stay for just a week though. I would go sight seeing, hiking, soak up the sun, explore the culture, and can’t forget about the food.

Chase: What’s your favorite movie?

Lucero: Aladdin.
