One of the biggest things in today’s society is the lack of attention to long format entertainment or even studying. Many call it the wandering mind, most of the time the distraction of having a short format entertainment at a moment’s reach is starting to become the “new normal”. However, this potential new normal will hinder the knowledge gathering for the future generation.
Within the last few years, educators have come across the lack of focus from students, often resulting in lower grades and even entitlement to have everything given to them. Things like this will no longer maintain a good environment for learning, even at a young age, let alone at the college level, by then it will be too late. Another obstacle educators are facing is the introduction of AI, with this new “tool” students are more leaning towards the side of procrastination and using AI to finish their workload within hours even minutes. This behavior only increases over the course of time as well as the interaction of other students using AI and thinking that it will be the answer and solution for every problem.
This level of lack of attention and leaning to the usage of AI rather than the actual learning scenarios an educator provides. School work and learning environments will be the first to suffer with the introduction of this AI engine or any other that will facilitate students to leave anything and everything to the last minute. These students are the very same people who will replace the work force in the near future, this includes police officers, doctors and even lawyers. While the introduction of AI in other fields of entertainment or even workforce has been a great tool for them to reduce certain workload scenarios, for the education sector has been a way to just coast through the education a person is chasing or even a degree.
